I fell in love with these Warm Summer Echinacea flowers the moment I saw them on Burpee Seed and knew I just had to have them. The seeds are on their way as we speak.
I've always loved my purple coneflowers, but until now I wasn't impressed with the other colors available. One glance at these beauties and I fell in love. I'm not sure if its the combination of colors or the fact that they seem to glow in the light that sold me.
These perennials thrive in Maine soil and continue for years. My purple coneflowers are more than 10 years old and have survived a move to a new home.
I just ordered the seeds yesterday and I'm already anxiously awaiting their arrival. According to Burpee, these coneflowers bloom the first year making them the perfect addition to my yard.
I already published an article Growing Coneflowers (Echinacea) in the Home Garden, so I won't repeat that here. If you are looking for more information about growing coneflowers you'll find what you need to know there.
Until Next Time . . . HAPPY GARDENING!
