It always amazes me how soon we forget the glory of our summer garden as soon as Jack Frost descends in the fall. I was editing some picture last night when this image suddenly appeared in a folder of new photos. I don't have any idea how it got there as I haven't seen or thought of it for months. I took that as a sign to share the picture today. After all, why else would it simply show up in a folder with no earthly explanation?
This is a photo of one of my garden mums. I edited the background to black and white to highlight the beauty of the flower. As you may know, I recently took up photography with the goal of taking my own garden pictures for this site and for other gardening articles I publish. I got the camera too late in the year to capture this season's flowers, but I am looking forward to next summer when I can capture Maine Wildflowers in their natural environment. I hope my little mum brought you a smile today as we walk the path toward winter. Until next time . . . Happy Gardening!
